WALLINGTON,  NJ – Wallington’s Zaheer Mitchell scored his 1,000th point of his high school career, but it was no where near enough as Wood-Ridge drilled Wallington, 67-39, in a NJIC Meadowlands boys basketball game on Thursday evening in Wallington.  Mitchell ended the game with 23 points.

Wood-Ridge used a 20-5 second quarter to open a 33-15 at the half and cruise to victory.   Ryan Sarver had 17 points to lead Wood-Ridge, while Stephen Crandall had 15 and Trey Packen had 12.

The win avenges a 55-50 loss to Wallington by the Blue Devils in their Christmas tournament.
