"I gave the varsity team a challenge this year," Thorne stated. "I asked for someone to step up, someone to become a goal scorer. We had so much talent on the team, but we lacked someone with that presence to just turn a game around - Vic met that challenge and more. I'm proud of his work this year but it is important to remember that while this honor is for this season, it is the things that Vic has done his whole life that has led him to the honor."

Barris jumped from nine goals and six assists to lead the team in scoring this year.  Barris scored four goals as a sophomore, and two as a freshman to win up 39 career goals for the Aviators.
