SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The Wood-Ridge girls soccer team's bid for a state championship came to an end on Monday with a 5-0 loss at the hands of Dayton High School Monday evening in Springfield in the opening round of the North 2, Group 1 playoffs.

The Lady Blue Devils were shut out for the third consecutive game, and the fourth in their last five starts.  

Dayton led 1-0 at the half, before breaking the game open with four goals in the second half.

Wood-Ridge finishes the season with a 6-12-2 mark, while Dayton, who advances to play Glen Ridge on Thursday, improves to 7-11-1
