LYNDHURST, NJ -  Lyndhurst jumped out to an early 27-12 first quarter lead en route to a 64-44 victory over Wood-Ridge in the opening round of the Bergen Invitational Girls Basketball Tournament, Friday evening in Lynhdurst.  The tournament is sponsored by the Bergen County Women's Coaches Association. 

The Bears extended their early lead to 40-21 at the half.  

Lyndhurst's Carley Martin had 25 points to lead all scorers,  while Alexa Bonno had 23 for the Bears.

Wood-Ridge was led by Samantha Eckert, who had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
