WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Passaic County Tech pulled out to a 17-8 first quarter lead and held on to beat Wood-Ridge, 46-40, in an Independent girls basketball game Saturday morning.  

Passaic Tech led 32-24 at the half before the Lady Blue Devils rallied in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 36-33 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Samantha Eckert had 12 to lead Wood-Ridge, while Jenna Castellano had 10.

Isabella Duval had 17 for Passaic Tech to lead all scorers, while Trinity Clacken had 11. 

Wood-Ridge opens at Midland Park at 5 pm Monday evening in the opening round of the North 1, Group 1 girls basketball playoffs.
