SECAUCUS, NJ - Due to the COVID-19 pandemic canceling the 2020 Spring Season, the New Jersey Interscholastic Conference decided to honor all the 2020 seniors who would have been playing their final seasons with All-Division Honors.

"Thank you to the Senior Class of all of our member schools," stated Stan Fryczynski via press release earlier in May. "Your contributions, dedication, sacrifice, and teamwork set an example for all who follow in your footsteps."

First year Wood-Ridge High School track coach Quinn Geraghty, who had the team for just five days, reflected on his team and seniors.

We were in a rebuilding season, with just 3 senior girls and 2 senior boys on the roster, and many underclassmen to build for the future.

"Seniors Phil Lacovelli and David Flores were an integral part of our throwing program,“ stated Geraghy.  “Both multi sport athletes with a strong competitive drive. Phil was an all-league player for the soccer team in the fall and David was a member of the football team.”

“On the girls end we had seniors Skylar Skorski (Sprints-Mid Distance), Shaye Whaley (Distance/Jumps) and Christina Vazquez (Distance),” Geraghty said. “Each of these girls were multi-sport athletes, as Skylar also played soccer, Shaye played soccer and basketball, and Christina (all-league) ran cross-country and indoor track. Each had the potential to provide immediate help to our team. “

"I'm excited to see what these seniors can accomplish in the future and I wish them all the best of luck,” Geraghty said.'s Grand Re-Opening Marketing Specials provide local businesses with social media marketing, content marketing, and brand awareness as well as the flexibility to market in neighboring towns.
