CEDAR GROVE, NJ - Cedar Grove outscored Hasbrouck Heights 15-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away from Hasbrouck Heights, 34-24, in a NJSIAA girls basketball opening round game Monday night in Cedar Grove. 

The 14th seeded Lady Aviators jumped out to an early 10-7 lead over Cedar Grove after one quarter.  A 6-0 spurt from the Panthers propelled them to a 17-15 lead at the half.  The third quarter was dominated by the defenses, as Cedar Grove outscored the Lady Aviators by a 2-1 score, to lead 19-16 going into the fourth.

In the fourth quarter, both teams picked up the pace offensively, with the Panthers outscoring the Hasbrouck Heights down the stretch for the win.

Cedar Grove's Ryan Cannataro had 10 points to lead the way for the Panthers, while Jessica Green chipped in eight.

Paige McGuire and Devon Sonzogni each had eight points to lead Hasbrouck Heights.
