MIDLAND PARK, NJ - Midland Park erased an early 21-17 Wood-Ridge lead, outscoring the Lady Blue Devils 32-6 to capture their NJSIAA girls first round basketball game by a score of 59-42 on Monday evening in Midland Park.  

Trailing 21-17 at the end of the first quarter, Midland Park clamped down on defense, holding Wood-Ridge to just two points to take a 30-23 lead going into halftime.  Their dominance continued in the third quarter, outscoring Wood-Ridge 19-4 to take a commanding 49-27 lead into the fourth quarter.

Natalie Cala made five three point field goals to lead all Wood-Ridge scorers with 15 points. Jenna Castellano chipped in eight while Samantha Eckert had six for the Lady Blue Devils.

Gillian Luberoff had a game 18 points for Midland Park, while Tess Olsen had 11.
