WOOD-RIDGE, NJ - Following a successful week of hosting baseball as part of the Last Dance High School World Series, Wood-Ridge High School’s Donna Ricker Field will be the home to the “One Last Swing” girls softball tournament on Wednesday evening.
Unlike the “Last Dance,” where teams were competing in a tournament, “One Last Swing” is a one-night event featuring six teams comprised of girls softball players who graduated in June playing on teams created for the event.
The 4:30pm game will feature four Hasbrouck Heights graduates, as Julia Campen, Alexa Marinelli, Gianna Martinez, Erin Owens, and Amanda Gasparino will join graduates from Emerson, Saddle Brook, River Dell and Ramapo High Schools. They will face a team comprised of 2020 seniors from Northern Valley/Old Tappan, Northern Highlands, and Holy Angels
The 6:15pm will feature players from Immaculate Conception, including Hasbrouck Heights native Faith Camilleri and Wood-Ridge’s Jaden Farhat, as well as players from Fort Lee, Teaneck, Westwood, and Ridgefield Park. They will be facing a squad of seniors made up of players from Pascack Hills, Rutherford and Ridgefield.
Wood-Ridge 2020 graduates Samantha Perez, Isabella Iacovino, and Madylin Marino will be joined by seniors from Wallington, Ridgewood, Tenafly and Mahwah. They will face off against a team made up of 2020 seniors from Bergen Tech, Bergenfield, Paramus Catholic, Waldwick and Lodi.
