SECAUCUS, NJ - The trip to the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, which would have featured a football game between Wood-Ridge and Becton High School has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The two schools agreed to the postponement, and have been able to secure the same date.

“The postponement of the Canton Ohio game was not easy but all parties collectively agreed it was necessary due to the current pandemic,” stated Wood-Ridge Athletic Director Marc Sinclair. “When organizing a game of this magnitude there are so many variables that are involved. The main factors that impacted the decision were the anticipated restrictions from the NJSIAA and Ohio State Athletic Association. There were just too many uncertainties to commit to this game at this time."

“The good news is that we still anticipate to open up on September 4th at Home vs Becton. Also, we fully plan on opening the 2021 season with Becton at Canton, Ohio,” Sinclair added.
