HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ --  Hasbrouck Heights Junior Football League (HHJFL) has opened registration for the upcoming 2020 season. 

Parents have two options to register their children through the HHJFL online portal or by paper registration mail/drop off. 

HHJFL offers five levels of play for both football players and cheerleaders: Flag, Mighty Mite, Pee-Wee, Junior and Senior.

The following is the birthday cutoff by level:

Football Requirements:
Flag: ages 5-6 by 9/01/20
Mighty Mite: ages 7 by 9/01/20
Pee-Wee: ages 8-9 by 9/01/20
Junior: ages 10-11 by 9/01/20
Senior: ages 12-13 by 9/01/20

Flag: Kindergarten and 1st Grade (grade entering in September 2020 for all divisions)
Mighty Mite: 2nd Grade
Pee-Wee: Grades 3rd & 4th
Junior: Grades 5th & 6th
Senior: Grades 7th & 8th

The 2020 schedule has been posted on the Meadowlands Football League (MFL) website. Hasbrouck Heights opens the season on the road against New Milford on Saturday, September 12, and travels to rival Wood-Ridge on Saturday, October 10. 

Reurning to the MFL this season  after a several season absence are the Secaucus Patriots. Wallington and Carlstadt/East Rutherford have combined programs into one team, which left an opening for another town to fill.

All new participants must be permanent residents of Hasbrouck Heights. Proof of residency is required at registration. Registration will close June 30.
