HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Hasbrouck Heights Soccer Association's U8 boys travel team finished their season with a 9-0-1 record. It is a special accomplishment for any team, but what makes this more significant is that this was their first time playing together as a team. 

The team notched big wins during the season over club teams including the Wyckoff Torpedoes, Arsenal, and Ironbound (Newark) plus town teams like Cresskill and Rutherford.  They finished the season in a showdown with club team, World Class FC, where they battled to a 2-2 tie. Both teams finished 9-0-1 on the year.  

The team also "played up" (in an older division) and finishd in second place in a Columbus Day tournament in Saddle Brook.

On offense, the team was lead by Shawn Kudlacik, Vicente Andrade, Julian Paradiso, Joey Salib, Nico Parker, and Michael Sill. .  

The defense was lead by Leon Kaiser, Dean Eckert, Cash Hlavenka, and William Laurencio. Manning. The goal were keepers, Alex Zagaja and Damian Castro. 

The team was coached by Head Coach Marc Kaiser, Trainer Stan, and Coach Hector Castro. 

"Overall, team did great adjusting to a competitive atmosphere for the first time," said coach Hector Castro. "They struggled at first but were resilient and refused to give up. Several players began to develop their tools and start showing signs of becoming into good soccer players. We are all excited about the future and their continued growth."
