HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - All three Hasbrouck Heights Meadowlands Football League teams ended the season Saturday night on a high note, recording shutout wins over Wallington.

(NOTE: Under Meadowlands Football League rules, any game with a spread of 18 points or greater after three periods is considered over, with the leading team recording the win.  A "B" game takes place in the fourth quarter, and the score is taken off the board.  Additionally, once a game reaches a three touchdown lead and is not before the third quarter, kickoffs are eliminated and the trailing team gets the ball at the 35-yard line.)

Senior Division: Hasbrouck Heights 27, Wallington 0

Frankie Billings scored two touchdowns and Donovan Auriemma intercepted two passes as the Senior Aviators rolled over Wallington 27-0 in the nightcap.  

Billings opened the game with a 5-yard touchdown run just four plays into the game.  Evan Werner hit Oscar Solis with a pass for the conversion and a 7-0 lead.  

Auriemma then hit Joey Formisano for a 16-yard touchdown pass for a 14-0 lead early. 

Billings scored his second touchdown of the game, on a 32-yard run, to extend the lead to 20-0. 

Wallington, trying to get back in the game, went to the air, but Auriemma picked one off and went 65 yards for a score to put it out of reach early.

Junior Division: Hasbrouck Heights 37, Wallington 0

Jalil Baldwin scored two touchdowns in the first quarter to give the Aviators a quick 15-0 lead en route to a 37-0 win over Wallington.  

Wallington returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, only to see it called back on a penalty call.  A few plays later, Baldwin went 70 yards for his first touchdown and a 7-0 lead. Following the kickoff, Baldwin intercepted a Wallington pass for a 50-yard touchdown a 13-0 lead.  Matt Samperi kicked the extra point (worth two points in Meadowlands Football League play) for a 15-0 lead. 

Michael Napolitano and Michael Colaneri III also scored touchdowns for the Junior Aviators against the Wallington squad.

Hasbrouck Heights finished 6-2 on the season, and will face 7-1 Elmwood Park next weekend. 

 

Pee Wee Division:  Hasbrouck Heights 26, Wallington 0

Nicholas Leone and Deacon DeLorenzo each scored twice as the Aviators defeated Wallington, 26-0.

Leone kicked off the scoring in the first quarter with a touchdown run to give the Aviators a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.  DeLorenzo scored to make the score 13-0 in the second, before Leone scored once again to extend the lead to 19-0.  DeLorenzo scored in the third quarter to make the score 26-0.
