HAWTHORNE, NJ - According to the Hawthorne Police Department, a 30 year old woman from Woodcliff Lake, Allison Sorbo, driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra, was pulled over on Wednesday, August 7, at 4:01 p.m. for motor vehicle violations while driving near 970 Goffle Road.  After the police officer requested to see her driving documents, he noticed she had a straw held in her hand in inquired about it.  Sorbo allegedly said that she had used it to "sniff two oxys"--opioid narcotics.  On further questioning, she said that she had sniffed the pills about an hour prior and further admitted that she "did some free base after", referring to cocaine.

A clear baggie was found in her jacket which held residue of crack cocaine.  When the officer asked her destination, she said she had been headed to Paterson for the purpose of acquiring more drugs, but that she hadn't been able to.  Thereafter, Sorbo was placed under arrest for possession of contraband and taken to the police station to be processed where she failed field sobriety tests.  She was charged with driving under the influence as well as the following:
