Hawthorne Resident Kimberly Stoll Dies After Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash

HAWTHORNE, NJ - Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes of the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office and Hawthorne Police Chief Richard McAuliffe have announced that Hawthorne resident Kimberly Stoll, 57, was pronounced dead at 1:18 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. 

Ms. Stoll was identified as the female motorcycle passenger involved in a fatal collision on Lafayette Avenue Saturday, June 30.  Kasey Checke, 49, from Ramsey, was riding with Ms. Stoll on a 2008 Harley-Davidson and crashed with a 2017 Jeep Wrangler near the Wells Fargo Bank.  The collision took place at approximately 9:44 p.m. and Mr. Checke was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m.  Ms. Stoll was transported from the scene of the crash to St. Joseph's Hospital in critical condition.  The driver of the Jeep was reportedly unharmed.

The investigation continues.  The Hawthorne Police Department, Passaic County Sheriff's Department, and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office ask any members of the public who may have information to contact the Hawthorne Detective Bureau at 973-427-1800 or Passaic County Prosecutor's Office at 877-370-PCPO (7276).
