On Tuesday, March 3rd, come and enjoy a special concert with Ian Gallagher, Irish singer and musician. Gallagher will entertain us with favorite Irish classics, new songs, and stories about the history of Ireland and the works being performed. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, this Tuesday Talks for Seniors presentation begins at 1:30 p.m. and is open to residents of all communities. Please call ahead to reserve your seat!

Our weekly Mahjong Meet-up has made the library the place to be on Wednesday afternoons! Borough residents and their guests are invited to come and join Linda Graham for some friendly games of Mahjong every Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Beginners are welcome.

Claire Houghton-Kiel is available Thursday evenings to share her expertise on “all things tech.” Reserve a time slot (7:30 or 8:15 p.m.) and a date for your personal one-on-one instruction. Funding for Tech Talk is provided by the Friends of the Library. Classes are free to members of Friends; there is a nominal registration fee for nonmembers.

The Books ‘n’ Bites book club will meet Tuesday, March 10th at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to join us as we snack and chat about The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. “Miss Susan” will moderate the discussion. Refreshments will be served.

Walk ‘n’ Talk is back! Join “Miss Susan” on Wednesday, March 18th for a guided interior tour of historic Ringwood Manor. We’ll meet at the library at 9:30 a.m. and then caravan to Ringwood Manor, 1304 Sloatsburg Road, Ringwood for a private 90 minute tour beginning at 10:30 a.m. The tour will cover the history of the house, its owners, and the interior furnishings on the first and second floors. Please wear sturdy sneakers or walking shoes. Water and a snack will be provided. Walk ‘n’ Talk is co-hosted by the Friends and the Library Board of Trustees.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will be shown on Tuesday, March 24th at 1:30 p.m. When journalist Lloyd Vogel is assigned to write a profile of Fred Rogers, the creator and star of the successful children’s program Mister Rogers Neighborhood, the tables are turned and interviewer becomes the interviewee.
