Open Those Umbrellas for the First Weekend of June in North Jersey

NEW YORK, NY - The first weekend of June is looking like a time for families and friends to get together, indoors. Showers and some thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday according to reports from the National Weather Service (NWS). 

For Friday, the NWS predicts a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, otherwise mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. For Friday night there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with the temperatures expected to drop into the low 70s. 

For Saturday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10:00 a.m, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 10:00 a.m.and noon, then showers likely after noon. The high temperatures is predicted to be 81 during the day. For Saturday night, expect a 40 percent chance of showers.
