PASSAIC COUNTY’S RECYCLING PROGRAM
(Passaic County, New Jersey) – On Sunday, October 4, 2020 Passaic County will be sponsoring an Autumn Family-Fun Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Program open to all, regardless of county or state residency.
Composting is nature’s way of recycling by turning vegetative kitchen scraps, coffee grinds, tea bags, grass clippings, brown leaves and dead garden plants into rich organic compost. This compost can be used in vegetable and/or flower gardens, while keeping the unwanted material out of landfills. Rain barrels enable the collection of water for reuse around the garden.
