PROSPECT PARK, NJ - The Prospect Park Police Department is looking to add a Class I Special Police Officer to its ranks.  Interested applicants should bring a resume to the Prospect Park Police Department at 106 Brown Avenue, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  The deadline is December 10, 2020.

According to the Police Department, the requirements are:

• U.S. Citizen and New Jersey resident.

• Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

• Of good moral character, sound body and good health.

• Not be convicted of any offense involving dishonesty or which would make the candidate unfit to perform the duties of a Class I Special Law Enforcement Officer.

"Finalists must undergo a background investigation, medical examination, psychological examination and take/pass a drug test," the Department said in a statement.  "Candidates must pick up application in person and are responsible for all fees associated with the training process for this position.  The Borough of Prospect Park is an equal opportunity employer."
