With the deadline for Senior Freeze applications coming at the end of this month, Assembly Members Lisa Swain and Chris Tully are issuing this reminder to seniors in order to help them save on their annual property taxes.

The Assembly Members have provided the following statement:

“Senior Freeze is a vital program that helps stabilize taxes for our seniors, and we are proud to have voted for and championed this program.

Seniors should know that if they paid property taxes on a home that they have owned for at the least the past five years, and have annual household incomes under $89,014 dollars, they are most likely eligible to be reimbursed for any year-to-year increase in their property taxes. We encourage all of our senior constituents to apply for this program.”
