Police say that on Aug. 14, the Woodland Park Police Department responded to a residential address on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located a 71-year old resident who had sustained a non-fatal stab wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Investigators identified Wysocki as the perpetrator and she was arrested on scene.

Wysocki faces 10 to 20 years in jail on the first degree attempted murder charge, three to five years for the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose charge, 18 months for the unlawful possession of a weapon charge, and three to five years on the neglect of an elderly or disabled person charge.

Wysocki is currently remaned in the Passaic County Jail. The State intends to file a motion for pretrial detention in this matter that will be heard by a Superior Court Judge.

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
