This Fall, Passaic County Community College offers new ways for students to save on the cost of a college education. With most classes going to online and remote formats this year, a well-equipped computer is essential for college learning. PCCC has created a new program enabling students to purchase a laptop computer at a discounted price.
PCCC also instituted a tuition freeze for the 2020-2021 academic year, so there is no increase on the College’s already affordable tuition rate. Plus, a wide variety of financial aid options, including grants, scholarships, and federal and state aid, can even add up to a tuition-free college education for some students.
Textbooks are a major expense for most college students, but more than half of PCCC’s courses have eliminated that expense with Open Educational Resources (OER). Students in these classes use online textbooks, videos, research reports, and other creative resources that are academically excellent and completely free! Results show that students in OER classes not only save money, but also achieve at higher levels.
