HAWTHORNE, NJ - The Hawthorne Municipal Swimming Pool continues to be a popular summer destination for residents.  When swimmers go, they are greeted by signs along the pathway advising of social distancing protocols.  Pool staff take the temperatures of would-be swimmers before admitting them into the complex.

"The pool is very well run," TAPinto Hawthorne contributor Judy Kopitar said.  Features such as the diving board and slide have been closed but that does not seem to deter the enthusiasm of the aquatic revelers.  "The lifeguards are doing and excellent job and no unruly behavior is tolerated."

Bailey, one year old, was brought to the pool for the first time with her mom to wade in the childrens' section and get some respite from the heat.
