HAWTHORNE, NJ - TJ Doshi, owner of the Family Mini-Mart on Goffle Road in Hawthorne, last January offered free eggs or coffee to federal workers who were affected by the furlough at the time.  "These are my people, they spend money at my business, so that’s my contribution to be there for them and the community," he said at the time.  Now, a year later, the community is undergoing a new and more extraordinary set of circumstances putting the pressure on working families.  And Doshi has once again stepped up to assist.

Doshi said that since "many residents are on reduced income or totally out of work" a family which has need of bread, chicken, eggs, or milk is welcome to visit the Family Mini-Mart.  "Please say you are here for the 'cheesesteak special'," Doshi said when bringing items to the register.  "It will be on us."
