HAWTHORNE, NJ - The borough of Hawthorne announced that its annual September 11 service will go ahead as scheduled.

The candle-lighting service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, at the town's 9/11 Memorial near the Ambulance Building on Goffle Road, near the intersection with Lafayette Avenue.

Mayor Richard Goldberg asked residents to come wearing face masks in his August 31 letter.  A statement from the borough advised residents to bring a chair or blanket.
