PROSPECT PARK, NJ - The borough of Prospect Park announced that Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah will be a speaker at the “Immigrant Integration Day”, an event hosted at City Hall in Passaic, NJ, hosted by Immigration and American Citizenship Organization and the City of Passaic, on Saturday, October 26, 2019.  Khairullah will be speaking at 11:45 a.m.

"Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah will be speaking about how civic engagement is an important step in the immigrant integration process," a statement from the borough read.  "His public service career as a former volunteer firefighter, educator, humanitarian, NJLM Hall of Fame elected official/Mayor and track record has been evident of that, paving the road for others to follow."  The statement was followed by the mayor's motto, #ActLocallyThinkGlobally

The event itself was described as "a day of action where New Americans will have the opportunity to convene with elected officials, representatives from the state, non-profit and private sectors to discuss their present needs and collectively incorporate a plan of action to facilitate their process of adjustment, integration and development into all aspects of New Jersey’s multicultural community."
