State and local authorities continue to recommend that everyone practice aggressive social distancing measures to slow the spread of the virus. This includes maintaining a minimum of six feet from others, covering coughs or sneezes with a tissue or into the elbow, and frequently washing hands with soap and water. Disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces regularly is also recommended as the virus can persist from hours to days, depending on the type of material.
