HAWTHORNE, NJ - Hawthorne Superintendent of Public Schools Richard Spirito encouraged local residents to register in time to participate in the 2019 School Referendum.  The referendum, which will determine whether or not $24M will be dedicated towards renovating, repairing, and modernizing the elementary schools, Lincoln Middle School, and Hawthorne High School, will be held on Tuesday, September 24.

"The voter registration deadline in New Jersey is 21 days before the vote," Spirito said through social media.  Included was a link to download applications for voter registration and absentee ballots.  "Don't wait until the last minute, September 24th will be here faster than you think!"

The deadline to register to be able to vote in the referendum is Tuesday, September 3.
