The holidays are over and it’s time to follow through on our New Year’s resolutions to “eat healthy!” Home economist Linda Khoyan will present Simple Steps to a Healthy Lifestyle on Tuesday, January 7th, at 1:30 p.m. Come and learn how to make simple, nutrient rich recipes. Tasting will follow! A Tuesday Talk for Seniors event, this free program is open to residents of all communities.
Our weekly Mahjong Meet-up has made the library the place to be on Wednesday afternoons! Borough residents and their guests are invited to come and join Linda Graham for some friendly games of Mahjong every Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Beginners are welcome.
Need help with your PC, tablet, iPhone or other electronic device? Claire Houghton- Kiel is available Thursday evenings to share her expertise on “all things tech.” Reserve a time slot (7:30 or 8:15 p.m.) and a date in advance for your one-on-one instruction. Funding for Tech Talk is provided by the Friends.
Come and share your thoughts about The New Girl by Daniel Silva at the Tuesday, January 14th, 1:30 p.m. meeting of the Books ‘n’ Bites book club. Patricia Spinnler will moderate the discussion. Light refreshments will be served. New members are always welcome!
A Dog’s Journey will be shown Tuesday, January 21st at 1:30 p.m. In this sequel to A Dog’s Purpose, Ethan instructs his dog Bailey to protect his granddaughter CJ as she makes her way through life. Based on the novel by Bruce Cameron, this Movies Worth Watching presentation runs 108 minutes and is rated PG. Refreshments will be available. Funding for Movies Worth Watching is provided by the Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Library Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 1:30 p.m. The agenda will include the election of officers and the presentation and adoption of the 2020 budget. All members are invited to attend.
Miss Ro and the Crafty Ladies will make Valentine centerpieces on Tuesday, January 28th at 1:30 p.m. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited, so priority will be given to Borough residents.
LOOKING AHEAD.... Organizing humorist Jamie Novak will return on Tuesday, February 4th at 1:30 p.m. to discuss her latest book on dealing with the challenges of clearing clutter! A Tuesday Talks for Seniors event, the program begins at 1:30 p.m. and is open to residents of all communities.
