Make the Call

A few days ago, I was looking through photos from my childhood and I started reminiscing about family members who have passed or with whom I’ve lost contact. One memory was front and center because it jarred strong emotions within me.

My father’s cousin was a wonderful man who was a high level production executive for the ABC television network. He started as an elevator operator ...

Memorial Day weekend, for many, signifies the unofficial start to summer. This past weekend, as I was looking at my swimming pool, I began to think about how I felt four years ago when I was able to make a dream a reality.

As with many families, the pandemic afforded us the opportunity and energy to ...

My Own Private Ice Cube

Now that the economy is picking up and throngs of people are once again milling about freely, I’ve been thinking about buying an island.

Nothing too exotic. Just some beautiful water-lapped property of my own somewhere south of here where I can escape. Someplace private with pristine waters and spectacular 360 degree views. Someplace without neighbors who complain every time I crank up ...
