HAWTHORNE, NJ - To follow up on our previous council campaign finance report, the end-of-October reports for the Republican and Democratic council slates were looked over by TAPinto Hawthorne and are presented here.

The GOP slate raised $3,000 since the last report in the first week of October, bringing their total amount raised to $13,000.  That was a contribution from Mayor Richard Goldberg, who had previously given $10,000 to the Team Goldberg council slate.  The campaign spent $1,300 on postage for a mailing, $1,300 in other advertising, and have spent a total of $12,115 during the campaign cycle.  As of this report, the Republican slate has $882 cash-on-hand.

The Democratic slate raised $1,900 since the last report, bringing their total amount raised to slightly over $9,000.  They have spent $660 on large lawn signs, $179 for door hangers, and a total of $3,700 this campaign cycle.  At the time of the report, the Democrats currently have $5,330 cash-on-hand.

Ward 2 Democratic council candidate Thomas Bushnauskas, who filed separately, reported a $500 contribution.  He previously filed a form indicating he plans to spend under $5,100 for the election cycle.  Ward 3 Green Party candidate Craig Cayetano also filed a form indicating he plans to spend under that amount.
