June 16th is the last day to Register to vote. Applications can be found on the Borough website www.hawthornenj.org and use the “How Do I” search bar, choose “Vote”, and “Register to Vote”. Mail completed form to the address on the form OR drop at the Municipal Building by the deadline. The ballot will be mailed to Registered Voters by the County of Passaic.

Voter Information: As per the Governor’s Executive Order, this election will be vote-by-mail. The County Clerk has begun to mail ballots to registered Republican and Democrat voters; all other registered voters will be mailed an application to apply for the vote-by-mail ballot. Please follow the instructions on how to complete and return, and it must be postmarked by July 7th. Polling Location: Roosevelt Elementary School will be the only open polling location with minimum board worker staff from 6am – 8pm for Provisional Ballot voting only and only for voters who did not receive a ballot in the mail or did not mail back in time. NOT for in-person voting. Masks are required to enter the polling location with social-distancing rules in place.
