The past four years have gone by so quickly and we as a Council have touched upon many topics, but there is more to be done. Councilman Sinning, and I consider it an honor and a privilege to represent the residents of Hawthorne.

We are conservative by nature and believe in the Republican values. Being Conservatives, we have worked with the Mayor and other Council members to stabilize our budgets and keep a standard of services that that we have all come to expect, but there is more to accomplish. We need to continue to find additional ways to help our seniors and those on fixed incomes to be able to stay in Hawthorne, as well as provide opportunities for our children and couples just starting out.

We have a small, tight knit community, with much to offer. The residents of our borough chose Hawthorne because we have good schools, a relatively low tax rate, a good mix of affordable housing that holds its value, as well as recreation facilities and opportunities for the young and old alike. Most recently we’ve started focusing on quality of life issues like neighborhood speeding, truck traffic, & garbage collection, but there is more to be done.

The position of Councilperson is one to be taken seriously and we have the experience, the dedication, and the commitment that is required for the position.  We again look forward to the challenge of doing so and the opportunity to continue to represent the residents of Hawthorne. We are always available to discuss any issue that our constituents feel is important and will express their concerns to try and solve their problem. Hawthorne is a great community, but we need to work together to help keep it great. This year we are adding two new faces to our slate; Joanne Fitzsimmons and Rayna Laiosa. Joanne & Rayna are lifelong residents that have a track record of giving back to our community and will make a positive addition to the governing body.

Very often we assume the candidate of our liking will get re-elected and the need to go vote is less important. Please don’t assume anything.  While others may promise “an alternate view”, we can actually say we have provided proven leadership and will continue to do so in the future.

On November 5th, I ask you to Vote Row B and Re-Elect Frank Matthews & Garry Sinning, and Elect Joanne Fitzsimmons & Rayna Laiosa and help us keep moving Hawthorne forward. Experienced Leadership, Proven Results.
