HAWTHORNE, NJ - Around town, some locals have begun to embrace the warmer weather and offer some free giveaways to those walking past as well.
As Hawthorne is a particularly dog-friendly community, a "puppy pit stop" was found, written out in chalk, indicating a water bowl for preambulating pooches in need of refreshment.
TAPinto Hawthorne contributor Judy Kopitar also took some snaps at a residence which was offering free sunflower plantings. Free books on a cart were offered up to passers-by interested in something to read.
Signs of encouragement for nurses and first responders also continue to appear around Hawthorne as the pandemic continues.
