HAWTHORNE, NJ - The Borough Council Reorganization Meeting is set to meet Wednesday, January 8, at 7:00 p.m. with an invocation by Rabbi Jonathan Woll, the swearing-in of Councilmembers Joseph Wojtecki (Ward 1), Frank Matthews (Ward 4), and Rayna Laiosa (Ward 2) as the newest addition to the borough council, having succeeded former Council Vice President John Bertollo.

A vacancy exists for the 3rd Ward following the passing of Councilman Garret Sinning in November.

The council will nominate and elect a new president and vice president for the 2020 session, followed by an opportunity for public remarks, Mayor Richard Goldberg's annual address, and the administration of a number of borough appointments.  There will be two council appointments and 19 consent agenda resolutions, the majority of which relate to contracts for professional services.
