HAWTHORNE, NJ - The borough of Hawthorne will be holding another Community Shred Day on Saturday, August 8, according to borough officials.

The event will be held in the parking lot of the Municipal Building between 9:00 a.m. and noon, and residents can bring up to four banker boxes or four grocery bags full of shreddable paper materials.  The shredding event is open only to residents and not businesses, the borough said in a statement.

The first one hundred Hawthorne recyclers to come will receive a free blue recycling barrel with a lid.
