HAWTHORNE, NJ - The Hawthorne Environmental Commission announced that they will be holding a Styrofoam Drive at the municipal building parking lot on Saturday, September 19, between 9:00 a.m. and noon.  A rain date of Saturday, September 26, has also been established in the event of bad weather.

The Commission emphasized that "clean packaging Styrofoam only" would be collected.  "Peanuts, cup, and food containers will not
be acceptable," the Commission said.  "We cannot take any Styrofoam that has touched food or liquids.  Please bring your Styrofoam in a reusable bag that you can bring back home with you."

Due to the ongoing pandemic, residents must wear a mask or face covering and maintain at least 6 feet of social distance from one another.
