HAWTHORNE, NJ - The week ended on a warm note with a bright and clear day when it had begun with chilly temperatures--an almost winter-like anomaly. Turkeys and deer were spotted making their way around town.  TAPinto Hawthorne contributor Judy Kopitar described it as, "A beautiful day which seems to bring everything out.  When there is very little traffic on the roads, the wildlife can come safely to Third Ave.  They certainly entertained the residents as they sat in their back yards to watch this turkey that had just came safely across busy Rea Ave."

Other residents have reported sightings of foxes around town.

With social distancing still in effect, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors.  The parks are open and bicyclists were spotted in force around Lafayette Avenue and Diamond Bridge.  "You can spread your blanket on your lawn or go fishing," Kopitar said.
