HAWTHORNE, NJ - The borough of Hawthorne has one case of coronavirus as of March 18, according to officials. 

Mayor Goldberg said there were no specific details yet available.  He said at the time of this writing, "We have no knowledge of whom the person is or where they live but the Paterson Strike Health Department is monitoring Hawthorne as well.  They told us today they are claiming there was one case [in Hawthorne]."

As of Wednesday, Passaic County has 18 positive test results, according to the NJ Department of Health, with neighboring Bergen County having the highest in the state with 114.  Statewide there are 427 cases.

The Passaic County Department of Health Services have asked for medically trained personnel to volunteer in a statement today.
