HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - June 2020 was a record-setting month for TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro, going over the 100,000 mark in page views for the first time in the site’s three years publishing.
The site has seen a surge in readership since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as readers come to the site to get the news not only Governor Murphy’s daily press briefings, but Bergen County Executive James Tedesco’s town by town breakdowns of Bergen County numbers.
Another major story in June was the closing of the Hasbrouck Heights 24-Hour Fitness facility, which generated wide-spread readership of the story.
These stories have supplemented TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge/Teterboro’s coverage of each of the three town’s Council meetings, two Boards of Education meetings, as well as coverage of zoning and recreation committee meetings.
"We are excited about this significant achievement of our TAPinto Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-ridge/Teterboro site," said Michael Shapiro, CEO and Publisher of TAPinto.net. "Faith and Chip Armonaitis have worked incredibly hard to develop a first-rate objective local news site for their area and their hard work is evident and appreciated. Congratulations on this fantastic milestone!"
"Congratulations to our wonderful colleagues Faith and Chip," said John Van Vliet, editor for TAPinto Hawthorne. "They are a tremendous asset to local media and have done exceptional work."
