HAWTHORNE, NJ - According to the Hawthorne Police Department, a phone call was received at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, of a suspicious person seen in the vicinity of 341 Wagaraw Road.

When the police responded and identified the person in question riding a bicycle, they attempted to contact him.  "He immediately dumped the contents of his pockets on the ground, which included a glass pipe and metal push rod," a statement from the police said.

The individual, a 33-year-old Paterson man, was taken to the police headquarters, charged, and released with a pending court date.
