HAWTHORNE, NJ - At approximately 12:45 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the side of the Bella Fig Restaurant on Lincoln Avenue.  The four-door Nissan sedan had apparently careened to the right and struck the building and came to a stop, between the crushed siding and a fire hydrant.

Hawthorne Fire, Police, and Rescue responded to the call.  Air bags were seen to have been deployed in the destroyed car.  It was not immediately clear if there were injuries.

By 2:15 p.m. the borough of Hawthorne reported that traffic along Lincoln Avenue had been re-opened in both directions.
