HAWTHORNE, NJ – Mayor Richard Goldberg swore in three Special Police Officers Class II into the Borough of Hawthorne Police Department at the previous council meeting.

"Council President, as you are aware, two or three years ago we added Special IIs to our police force," Mayor Goldberg said.  "They are a one year appointment and they’re a great addition to our police department."

Goldberg said it was a pleasure to appoint the Special Police Officers Class II.  In the case of Andrew Skae, it was his third appointment to the position.  Skae’s tenure was put into effect as of January 18, 2020.
