PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that due to the current State of Emergency, the Borough of Prospect Park Municipal Building is closed to the general public. Mail delivery during this State of Emergency is inconsistent; therefore, all bidders are encouraged to send their responses through the US Postal Service or other recognized delivery service that provides certification of delivery to the sender. Bidders may also deliver Bids to the drop-box located at the front of the building located on 106 Brown Avenue, Prospect Park New Jersey up until September 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Bidders are reminded that proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope and the outside of the envelope shall bear the name, address and email address of the bidder as well as the indication, “VARIOUS STREETS (NORTH 13TH PLACE/NORTH 9TH STREET BID”. Neither the Borough, nor the Engineer will assume any responsibility for bids mismailed, misdelivered, or misdirected.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Borough of Prospect Park, or negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount of ten (10%) percent of the total of the Total Bid not to exceed $20,000 shall be submitted with each bid.
Bids shall include a Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety to provide the bidder, if awarded a contract for the Project, with performance and payment bonds as required by the Project Specifications.
The Borough of Prospect Park reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
Bidders must submit with their bids the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents.
Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation and related matters.
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of Bidding.
