Five Hillsborough Wrestlers Advance to Region 5 Elimination Tournament

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Five wrestlers from Hillsborough High School are seeded in the upcoming Region 5 elimination tournament.

Wrestlers will compete Feb. 24, 25 and 27 at Hunterdon Central High School, Route 31, Flemington.

The top three winners in each weight class will advance to the NJSIAA State Championships the weekend of March 4-6.

Seeded 10th in the 113-weight category is Joshua Villa; seeded 8th in the 120-pound category is Anthony Donnadio; seeded 9th in the 132-pound category is Kevin Gallego; seeded 7th in the 145-pound category is is Tanner Johnson, and seeded 4th in the 182-pound category is Anthony DelGuercio.

All five Hillsborough wrestlers advanced to the Region 5 Finals following wins at last weekend’s District 18 elimination tournament at Hillsborough High School.
