Food Trucks Open for The Duprees at Doo-Wop Outdoor Concert

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Park Commission Free Summer Concert Series at Duke Island Park on Old York Road in Bridgewater concludes the 2017 season Sunday, Aug. 6 with a rock ‘n roll show featuring The Duprees.

The concert is scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. with the food trucks beginning to serve at 6 p.m.

The 4th Annual Rock ‘n Roll Food Truck Fest will feature eight food trucks, each presenting a different set of menu items. Among the culinary creations will be Smokin’ Chicks BBQ, Cubano Xpress, Kats Catering, Gail’s Dog House, Pizza Vita, Amanda’s Bananas, Cas' Pierogi's and Kielbasa, and Josefa Ice Cream LLC.

Hailing from New Jersey, in 1962, The Duprees struck gold with You Belong to Me.  Their sound was born and the hits kept rolling with Have You Heard, My Own True Love, and Goodnight My Love.  The Duprees have never slowed down, still touring and recording after more than 50 years! 

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. for a beautiful evening of entertainment under the summer skies. Ample parking is available.
