HILLSBOROUGH, NJ -- After winning by one point in its first game, the Bridgewater-Raritan football team found itself on the opposite end of a nailbiter in Game 2.

Hillsborough (2-0) rallied to defeat the Panthers, 13-12, with a touchdown in the third quarter on Friday night in the Mid-State Delaware Division game.

Hillsborough's Sean Levonaitis led all scorers, carrying the balll 26 times and piling up 193 yards, with one touchdown. The Raiders relied on their running game, with quarterback Tom Ramsey throwing for a total of 78 yards (4-5).

The difference in the final score was a crucial PAT by Franklin Wasserman; after that, the Raiders defense took over, keeping B-R off the board.

The defense was led by Tim Franks with 10 tackles, followed by Sal Volpe, with eight. Matt Michinard and Levonaitis each had seven tackles.

Bridgewater-Raritan scored two touchdowns in the first half. Quarterback Alex Fromberg ran 5 yards for a TD, then later in the half he connected with Bryce Myers on a 5-yard TD pass to give BRHS a 13-7 lead.

Hillsborough hosts Franklin at home Friday, Sept. 20th with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
