Former Employee Guilty of Stealing $15,000 from Home Depot


SOMERVILLE, NJ – A former employee of Home Depot in Bridgewater has been convicted of stealing $15,000 from the store.

A Somerset County jury on May 12 found Rodica Grecea, age 56, of Phillipsburg, N.J, guilty of 3rd degree Theft by Deception, according to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Between March 1st and July 1st, 2013, while employed at the store, Grecea stole approximately $15,000 in cash, according to Robertson.

The case was tried before Superior Court Judge Edward M. Coleman, who set the defendant's bail at $10,000, 10 percent to apply.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 22, 2016.
