HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The anticipation was already building as students arrived at school Wednesday morning because, after all, it's not every day that a helicopter lands in the field alongside your classroom.

But that's what happened yesterday at Triangle School, as an Army Blackhawk helicopter swooped in and landed as part of the school's celebration of Flag Day.

The students greeted the flight crew, saluted the flag, and were able to clamor aboard the Blackhawk.

The helicopter crew also spoke to the upper grades about drug prevention and how the helicopter plays a role in the enforcement of drug laws, and the military’s role in protecting the United States.
