Hillsborough Cultural & Arts Commission Invites Entries for Art & Photo Exhibit

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ – The Township Cultural & Arts Commission is hosting an art and photo exhibit March 11-13 at the Township Municipal Building, 379 South Branch Road.

A reception will be held Friday, March 11, from 7-9 p.m.

The exhibition is open to all adults and students living in Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer counties.

Registration deadline is Sunday, March 6. Artwork and photos can be dropped off at the municipal building Monday, March 7 from noon-7 p.m.

Fine Art categories include Adult, High School and Independent School. Photography categories include Adult and High School.

There is a maximum of two entries per person.

All 2-dimensional art and small 3-dimensional art that can be hung by wire is acceptable. There are no size limits for fine art. The maximum size for photography – finished size – is 24-by-36 inches. All artwork must be wired and ready to hang when delivered.

Artists are asked to include name, school and title on the reverse side of their work and are reminded that all art work submitted for the exhibit must be suitable for all ages.

Photography jurors include Dawn Benko, Andrew Darlow and Joel Morgovsky. Art jurors names will be announced.

Gift cards will be awarded in each category to the winners from Blick Art Materials and Unique Photo as follows: First Place, $175; Second Place, $125; Third Place, $100 and $50 to each of four Honorable Mentions.

Artwork and photos can be picked up on March 14 at the municipal building between noon-7 p.m.
